Virtual Marshal is bespoke software designed to provide rally organisers with a cost effective and complete rally timing system.
Using pre-determined GPS coordinates, multiple timed sections or stages can used without limit giving the organisers a platform for a more creative approach to events.
Mounted to the windscreen, using a single USB point, the system provides real time feedback to the navigator giving the exact time at each control. With flexible timing, cars no longer need to race to controls making events more road friendly.
Create your custom event using the powerful web-based setup page. Turn your recces into real events. Upload individual way points or the entire route with GPX, determine the start location and time for each competitor, designate support vehicles, and you are set to go.
Our proprietary software provides live in-car audio and visual feedback as the driver passes through the checkpoint. Cars no longer need to stop. Co-drivers no longer need to rush to get their timing cards stamped. Marshals no longer have to stand out in all conditions.
The system uses GPS to accurately mark the location of the checkpoints and records the time when a car drives through it. Local mobile data is then used to send the results to our server. If signal is low, the results are stored securely on the device until it is possible to send.

The system allows a limitless number of checkpoints creating possibilities never seen before in rallying. All checkpoints can be either covert or overt meaning special hidden stages can be run without prior knowledge of the competitors.
Results are generated using the parameters specified by the organisers and can viewed or downloaded as soon as the first time is recorded. This ensures disputes and recording errors eliminated.
Human marshals are needy people, requiring transport, food, lodging and back up which all amount to a huge expense on any rally, no matter the size. With the savings made using Virtual Marshal rallies can be more profitable and less expensive for the participants.
An in-built map provides organisers with an overview of where all vehicles are at any one time meaning quicker identification of break downs or people cutting the course. It is also possible to have the map fed live into the cars enabling co-drivers to stay on course.
With a personalised account, each competitor is able to view their Virtual Marshal rally history as well as keep up to date with the latest rally news.
Organisers can embed the system into their website so friends and family of the participants or indeed the whole world can get the best seats from the comfort of home – truly a Grandstand view of the rally.
